What would coaching with me not look like?

It is not obligatory, restrictive, preaching, or directing.

It is not therapy – Therapy can delve into the past and focus on healing. Coaching is oriented toward the future. Though the types of communication may overlap, many situations that require therapy should not be coached, and vise versa. If issues arise such that I feel that a therapist will better serve you, I will state that honestly and respectfully.

It is not consulting – Consulting usually draws from the consultant’s expertise to give advice and propose solutions. Like coaches, good consultants listen actively and ask questions so that their advice matches the client’s needs. Coaching draws on your expertise for the answers.
You are the expert of you and your situation.
